Image Arithmetic
Multiply Example

Original #9, 11k

Here's a little rock sculpture I did one day when I was bored.

Not a particularly exciting shot of our presidents.

Original #6, 5k

This image might let us add a little color to our little sculpture.

Multiply — Divisor 100

Multiply

As expected, the black areas in the second image gave black after the multiplication: (0,0,0) x anything = (0,0,0). The black is not perfect black, and has values like (1,3,4) or so — but the divisor of 100 knocks the result on down to near black. The result appears to be a night shot with huge searchlights lighting up the presidents.

Perhaps we can use this image to add an interesting look to the sky.

Smudge touch-up

The "lightest" result looked pretty nice, except for a bit of light in places where it wasn't wanted. A little touch-up with the smudge brush gave this result.
