I took this photo along the Missouri river one day back in the '70s. I used it to experiment with blend modes. I duplicated the background layer and tried different blend modes and opacity. I also tried applying a filter (hot wax and speed) to the top layer, and, leaving the blend mode at normal, I tried varying the opacity. This is a useful way to lessen the effect of a filter. (Speed is the Filter Factory C "Speed" filter).
