The Making of "Elk City Collage"
Awhile back I ran across a tutorial at Webweaver for a collage. I decided to give it a try.
You start by just using the line draw tool to draw some lines.
Then you select the lines with the
wand, and feather the section with Selections|Modify|Feather. They suggested using a feather
of 20 applied twice. I just used a feather of 10 applied twice.
Then use anything you want to use to create some sort of pattern. I used the filter they suggested,
Krusty's FX Vol. 2 Metallic.

Next, select items you want in the collage from other images you have. For these, I used rectangular
and elliptical selections with a feather of 20. Make the selection, then use CTRL-c to copy it. Switch
to the collage image and use CTRL-e to copy the selection, and position it where you want it.
Then I added the text, which I processed with BladePro.

The collage is now complete and looks nice displayed on a white background. If it's displayed on
another background, a frame would be nice. BladePro to the rescue! (Methinks I rely on BladePro a
little more than I should.) This time when I made the BladePro frame, I used a feather of 5. It gave
a nice little shadow around the inside of the frame.
