The Making of "Teardrop"

I started with these two images:

Combining the two using the "lightest" blend mode produced this result (after some minor touchup):

Now for the fun part. I merged the layers and cropped the image into a square. Then came a circle deformation followed by a vertical perspective deformation. Then a gleam with a starburst filter. Finally, a background and frame with BladePro.
