What's New?
Apr, 2003 Ramblings — I've added a humor section, and a couple more Tom Swift books.
Jun, 2002 Books — I've added some new online books, including one of my all-time favorite books, The Count of Monte Cristo.
Jul, 2001 Homework — Revamped — I got rid of some of my less-than-favorite work, and reworked some of the things I did when I was less experienced with Paint Shop Pro.
Jul, 2001 Gallery — Reopened. The older mostly poor-quality photos of family have been removed now that everyone who was interested had a chance to see them, and I'll be showcasing my artwork here, and posting challenge images that I do now and then
May, 2001 Ramblings section — Added Treasure Island and Kidnapped by Robert Lewis Stevenson, and added some of Mark Twain's short stories.
April, 2001 Ramblings section — Added a Tom Swift section. Includes a large collection of "Tom Swifties" and the full text of a couple of Tom Swift books.
March, 2001 Web section — Added the beginnings of a beginner course in HTML and CSS. There's a long way to go before this will be complete, but I'd enjoy feedback on it.
February, 2001 Web section — Updated the javascript areas. I've revised the rollover and slide show scripts a bit, and added a new object-based slideshow. I've updated the text rollover scripts to support Netscape 6.

About Frames

You are probably viewing this site in frames (the About section has more information on this). The frames are used in many parts of the site to preload pages for you, making the site much faster to use. But there are drawbacks to frames — the chief one being that you cannot bookmark individual pages while viewing in frames.

If you find that you have to do horizontal scrolling to view this page, find the "Kill this frame" link in the left frame and click on it. The left frame will go away, reducing the need for horizontal scrolling, but the site will remain inside frames for the speed advantage.

If you want to bookmark individual pages or if you simply don't like frames, use the "Kill all frames" link in the left frame. You'll lose the speed advantage of preloading, and new browser windows will open if you choose to listen to music.

Another way to bookmark an individual page is to find "The URL of this page" that you'll find at the bottom of the page. Clicking that link will open the page in a new window outside of frames so that you can bookmark it.

If you're not viewing the site in frames and want to, there's a link at the bottom of the page for entering the frames version.
