I do my best to make this site viewable in all browsers. However, the main purpose of this site is for me to learn web design techniques. I am beginning to use some of the newer features that only the newer browsers support. If you're using an older browser, I hope this site functions for you. But you won't be seeing it at it's best. I use JavaScript for providing music and various other features. The site is usable without JavaScript, but you may like it better if you enable JavaScript in your browser (if you have that capability). If you see a box offering a music selection near the bottom of this page, then your JavaScript is enabled. |
| Information about specific browsers | Netscape 2 | This site does not view well in Netscape 2 because that browser does not support background colors in tables - a feature I make wide use of. |

| Netscape 3 | I'm using style sheets for much of my formatting. Netscape 3 does not support style sheets. The site should be largely viewable and functional, although it won't look as good as it will in a newer browser and there is unreadable text in a few places. |
| Netscape 4 | I use Netscape 4 as my primary browser, so this site supports Netscape 4 very well. |
| Netscape 6 |
By and large, things work well in Netscape 6, but there are a few
problems. One is that the top-of-page links don't work on some of the pages.
Netscape 6 doesn't seem to come with a default midi player, so you may not be able to listen to the music on this site unless you install a midi plug-in. |
| IE 3 |
Internet Explorer 3 has some support for style sheets, and this site should
look reasonably good with it. I have not viewed the site with IE 3, however,
and there may well be problems.
IE 3 came in a number of varieties that support various levels of things. Some versions of IE 3 do not support javascript .js files, and if you're using one of these versions you'll be missing some functionality but the site should still be usable. I do make wide use of javascript rollovers, which aren't supported by IE 3. |
| IE 4 and 5 | Internet Explorer 4 and 5 have good support for style sheets. This site is designed to look and work well with these browsers. I have not yet installed either IE 5.5 or IE 6, so I don't know if there are any issues with those browsers. |
| Opera | I've done very little with Opera, but I have viewed parts of the site with it. I've noticed a few problems, but the site seems to work reasonably well with Opera. |
| Platforms | I've only tested with the PC platform under Windows 98 and NT. I don't know whether there might be problems on other platforms. |
